Most common questions

Below are quick answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

Is it better to fly to Bari or Brindisi?

The choice will be obvious in most cases. If you are travelling to Ostuni or anywhere south of Ostuni (Gallipoli, Lecce, Otranto) Brindisi's Salento airport will make better sense. If you are heading to Gargano or north of Bari, or travelling directly to Matera, Bari airport is better placed.

What is better Bari or Brindisi?

A: I'd recommend Bari over Brindisi. Like Naples, it's a port city working to clean itself up and shake its reputation for crime. Palm trees and benches line the pedestrian shopping street Sparano da Bari, which sports Gucci, Nike and Benetton.

What is the best time to visit Bari Italy?

May and June are very good times to visit Bari. Of course, if Bari is your stopping off point for your ferry transport to Greece, you'll likely arrive in summer, when you can expect very high daytime temperatures, with only slight cooling at night.

How long is the ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari?

The Dubrovnik Bari ferry route connects Croatia with Italy. Currently there is just the 1 ferry company operating this ferry service, Jadrolinija. The crossing operates up to 3 times each week with sailing durations from around 7 hours 30 minutes.
